1. I love my passion

I Love My...: I am passionate about my career - wellness coaching. I have always believed when you take exceptionally good care of yourself you have more energy and strength to give to others, and lead a life you will love and deserve. Helping others to embrace health and wellness, and create a lifestyle plan that works for their unique circumstances, is incredibly rewarding.

2. Crooked Teeth

I Love My...: My two front teeth look like chicklets, according to my husband. Remember those little white squares of gum - the original gum sold in cardboard container? Now squares of gum come in very fancy cardboard packaging, in all flavors. My two front teeth aren't that fancy, white, or that large. But they dip in a bit to the middle front, so the edges that should be in line with the eye teeth stick out a bit. Most people don't see this flaw because it's not that noticeable - my lips are thin so my smile is not what you first notice about my face. But it's my special 'feature' that my husband loves and always comments on. When I'm down, his goal is to make me smile and show off those chicklets. THAT is why I love my crooked teeth!

I Love My...: I Love My Eyes because they see the world with an artists palette and are able to visualize beauty in everyone and everything.

4. I Love My.......LIFE!

I Love My...: Yes I do! Sadly I haven't always... I tolerated it doing what I thought I had to do... This was until Friday... January 13th...2006.

At the age of 38 I was diagnosed with stage III (almost stage IV) breast cancer - doctors said five years if I was lucky...

It was a reality check for me...

Life... what did mine really consist of...

A month after starting chemo I was put on unpaid medical leave. Now financially struggling I sought help from well known cancer organizatioins only to learn that they did not provide financial assistance.

I couldn't believe it and decided to do something about it...

Nine months later...Bald headed with one breast removed I founded Christians Overcoming Cancer with a purpose of helping everyone succeed on their road to recovery by offering emotional support and financial relief services...

Today I absolutely love my life! Knowing I am giving hope to others motivates me daily...

Everyday I now realize what loving life really means...

5. I love my...

I Love My...: I love my face because it radiates my happiness and calmness, which is the state in which I most like to exist. When I allow myself to experience deep happiness, my face is luminous. My facial muscles are relaxed, my skin glows and my eyes smile. Of course, my face also radiates negativity when I am angry or sad, so when I see the beautiful face from happiness it reminds me that this is how I want to be.

6. Ugly Duckling No More

I love the scar on my leg because it reminds me that I am a warrior woman who has triumphed over so many challenges. I love my smile which reminds me to accentuate the positive. I love the gray in my hair which reminds me I've lived life with purpose and passion. I love the scar on my shoulder because it reminds me of a surgeon's healing touch. I love my arms with their little 'flabbies' because they are able to embrace loved ones. I love the love handles on my back. I love the beauty in all of the imperfections in my body in this perfect creation of God.I love my beautiful skin with its wrinkles from smiling and worry. I am so grateful that I am able to move all parts of this magnificent body and that this beautiful body enabled me to cross the finish line of the Boston Marathon at the age of 55 years old as a polio/post polio survivor.

7. Who Wants to Play?

I Love My...: I love my playful nature. Have you ever felt down and needed a lift? When life gets too serious, do you get depressed, frustrated and go within yourself? Or do you dissipate this mood with another form...HUMOR? When I get overloaded, I look in the mirror and remember my strengths: honesty, compassion and generosity. This brings me back to my balance. But it's my sense of humor; remembering that "childlike" quality in me that continues to want to "play". Life can be stressful and one of the first things to go by the wayside is our sense of fun and play. What do you do for fun or to play? Walking in the rain, WITHOUT AN UNBRELLA? PLAYING WITH PLAYDOUGH? GETTING YOUR FINGERS DIRTY, REALLY DIRTY? FACE PAINTING WITH A FRIEND? WADING IN A MUD PUDDLE? DO YOU LAUGH UNTIL YOUR STOMACH ACHES? Look in the mirror think of something you did as a child that you loved about yourself. What tickled your funny bone?

9. How I Roll

I Love My...: I love my rolls. Not fat rolls but wheat and carb-filled turbo energy love bombs. I do. I'm so passionate about rolls that I decided to become a professional pastry chef and spread fat and sugar on my rolls. Again, not my fat rolls. Yikes. Later when I became a mother I expanded my rolls...but this time the fat ones on my patootie. It was a little shocking how quickly they expanded. My love of pastry didn't end and as I enjoyed creating new exciting breads and blogging about bread in general, I perfected a bread painting technique. It was soon published in Australian Baking Business Magazine.I then again was shocked as my "rolls" expanded. I was invited to appear on our local Fox 10 news station as a guest chef. Before near panic set in, I came to the realization...I am all about the rolls. I love my rolls. All of them. The fat patootie ones and the bread ones. I decided I would let my love shine through. After all...it's love that makes a person beautiful...and that's how I roll.

10. It feels soooo! good!

I Love My...: I love myself. For many years I lived life not really knowing who I was because of an identity crises as result of childhood issues involving the absence of my dad, incest and several incidents of molestation. By the grace of God and through forgiveness I have learned that I am valuable, I have self-worth and I am the only person on the face of the earth like me. My realization of learning who I am causes me not only to love myself, but when I look in the mirror now I actually like who I am even if I have not washed my face or combed my hair. I see all of what I missed in myself as a wonderful person. Other people telling me pales in comparison to me knowing for myself. It feels soooo! good.

11. I Love My Eyes

I Love My...: I love my eyes because they see beauty in everyone. My eyes help me to expand my vision of things greater than myself. I love my eyes because they are compassionate and soft. My eyes are blue and look like my mother's eyes. My eyes allow me to look with delight upon my family. They offer me new worlds in literature and other sources. They show me suffering and desperate need. My eyes are operated by my brain which gives vision even without sight. Where do these beautiful eyes come from? God knows...they are one of many senses available to help us decipher our world. I love my eyes.

I Love My...: I love my toes. They are cute, beautifully shaped, perfectly positioned, and have earned me the endearing nickname “Monkey Toes” for my ability to stretch them out away from each other. No need for toe dividers for me; pedicures are a synch! (Yes, those are MY toes in the picture.)

14. Jam on your Bear buns?

I Love My...: I'm a pastry chef and mom. I got my start years ago baking bread with my mother. Every year we would make bear shaped rolls and hand them out to friends and family. I'd be the one who got to ask, "Do you want butter or jam on your bear buns." Ironically I never really wanted anyone to see my *bare* buns. I've always been exceedingly aware of my sound girth in that region. One patootie patty seems a little lop-sided. Not that I've spent a lot of time carefully measuring the circumference of each half moon. Who has? If they have, they have way too much confidence. I know the type. The ones who walk down the road shaking their region as if saying, "look at my butt." I may not be the only women in the USA who wants to love the shape of my patootie. The pressure I feel as a TV guest chef makes it seem even bigger...by 10 lbs!. Yes, here's the real me. True confession...I really would love to be able to say, "look at my bare buns!"I'll settle for showing off the bear buns instead.
